National Assistance (Assessment of Resources) Regulations 1992

The National Assistance (Assessment of Resources) Regulations 1992 and the Charging for Residential Accommodation Guidance (CRAG) set out how councils must charge for the residential care they provide or arrange.

The regulations set out how a care home resident’s income and capital should be treated during their financial assessment.
